Apologies for being the eternal pessimist (or as I like to call it realist), we will go out tonight. We never win at Everton and struggle to even get Nil there. 55 years of watching us get turned over in Liverpool makes you think this way. If we get anything, I will buy a round that's how confident I am that we will come back with our usual 2 or 3 goal defeat.

FA Cup will have to wait until next season I'm afraid.

Grumpster- It's not just the older lot. I'm 28 and have grown up with the Premier League, Champions League and all that overblown bollocks and I don't buy the resting players thing either cos I agree you should try and win it all with your strongest team.

If anything, the amount of pointless European matches, and the consequent dilution of competitions like the old UEFA and European Cups is to blame but the big sides, conveniently, never mention that.

I thought Song has now been picked by Cameroon. If that's the case he won't be anywhere near Goodison tonight.

If that twat Allardyce plays any of Jussi,Job or Vaz Te,he will be taking the piss out of Sullivan and the West Ham fans.

I live in Bristol now but wouldn't mind Doncaster as its a ground I have yet to visit... My mate sponsors BCFC's shorts and their main stand so I will be getting tickets if we meet in the next round.

No exec boxes at BC, just padded seats.

Us older supporters just don't understand resting players as it never happened when we first started going.

Strongest team every game to try to win every competition available.

good draw- especially in light that I thought we'd drawn Man City because my girlfriend checked the draw before me, told me who we (potentially) had and obviously can't read properly...

And do that for every match.

Dont rest anyone.

Dont pick a team "good enough to win this match".

Just pick the best team available, as if it was a league game. Pretty simple really.

Re: FA Cup 4th round draw Doncaster/Bristol City (Away)
Where bfs and all other managers who rest players are cunts, is that they take the supporters who take a days holiday and spend a tin going for granted, to rest pampered footballers who we know full well aren't injured.

We know Sakho is injured, but not sure there's a reason why any of the others shouldn't play if fit.

Run song in to the ground while we have him, as we all know he's unlikely to be here next season.

For ease of journey and to have a beer with EX I would prefer Bristol City.

On the other hand I can't stop thinking of the hot dogs at Donny.

Why do many now talk about Jarvis in the same breath as RVT? Jarvis still has something to offer as we saw against WBA, where RVT is a complete turd.

I have no probs with Jarvis starting tonight.

Yeah, Everton have a manager with no FA Cup pedigree who did not take the cup seriously at all when his previous club were deep in relegation shite.

Re: FA Cup 4th round draw Doncaster/Bristol City (Away)
We will win this tonight.

Everton need to concentrate on the league and will rest players. We won't as Sam has promised to take the cup seriously.
